Sweat trickling down my face running looking for some miricale to happen as Piggy and I went up the mountain. I could only think "Jack I really hope your dead or your gonna be". I saw the clearing up ahead only to see nothing but a smoldering pile of wood. Trying to find more wood to re-ignite the fire I actualy thought Jack was dead and tooken away. Looking at the boat I was really hoping that was a mirage becasue if they did'nt spot anybody here chances are they won't be comnig bakc for a while. Looking at the jungle I saw Jack coming bakc with a carcass of somthing big and him and the rest of the hunters all caring the same little smirk and seemed to have an opalescence sense of pride in their little smiles. I wish I could have felt the same way. I looked over at piggy he looked to be in the same state as he was the first time we started the fire. Only instead of losing hope in the conch he lost hope in the fire. The last thing that chance we had of being rescued passing by the ocean right then. He was whimpering by a tree and now seemed to be more enraged instead of bieng dreadfuly lost in misfourtune. After basicaly beating down Piggy I felt I had every one else's loyalty for the moment becuase people would not want an abusive leader but he is starting to give the group what they want except for Piggy. His apology seemed preposterous becuase the savage smirk he had after the pig. The fact that he said he wanted to contribute to the group in its survival and the hope of being rescued was very incredulous simply becasue he and hunters had abandoned their post at the fire. This to me was showing that Jack and his hunters were at the edge of insanity and were willing to trade decency and sanity for savegry and insanity. Also this could happen to every one else but truth is the heart of civilaztation so trusting these people was my only connection to civilzation. Asking him about why hunting a pig instead of keeping watch on the fire seemed to be an irelevance seeing how Jack was obssed with blood implicating that later he would turn on me or end up killing Piggy or someone, he is lost now just up to me to keep my distance form him and protect the litluns if I have to. The dead pig explains the shrill niose I heard before this almost made me belive in the beastie.
As Jack countinued to walk down to the beach his steps were malevolent and gyrating.

Anthony,
You successfully used the vocab & did a great job writing from Ralph's perspective. Your speculations on why Jack and the hunters would let the fire go out are astute (clever).
REVISION ASSIGNMENT: Don't stop there! Please add another paragraph that describes the confrontation between Ralph/Jack. What are Ralph's thoughts?
Ralph's fists clenched very tightly and eyes started to twitch with anger. Jack replied with the exact same reaction. The kids started to look around and observed the mental fight going around. I did'nt seem like any of the other kids wanted to take sides at this point seeing as how Ralph was the leader and Jack was a manical phsyco.
