Blog 14-blog 8 revision
I had to see the mountain I had to see for my self if the beast was real or if was just a figment of my imigination. As soon as I had gotten there I realized the corruption that there was on this island I knew more incostnnt people where going to die becasue of Jack's ruthlessness. He was on the edge of the deep end where the bottom was a pool of blood. Only not his blood, every one's blood the pigs the humans that he was going and has already killed THIER blood. Thier blood will be at the bottom. To him it would be like a little bubble bath with a rubber ducky to him. I trailed off....ANYWAY....As I got to the top of the mountain I uncioled the parchachutist. As I did I started to feel sorry for the poor man caught up in a war like this that cost him his life. Its not all too different from what is happening on the island. I was hoping that as I uncioled him he could free and move on to the next life. The rest of humanity has submited to the beast by starting this war and showing no compassion towards each other. I'm just glad that Ralph has not submited to the beast meaning there is still some measure of humanity on the island left. Aaahh that Piggy the most remulous of the bunch. As smart as he is I don't think he will be able to escape the enevitable on the island. Somthing that is going to happen to him. Somthing very bad. Not like he will end up like Jack becasue I would say that that is worse than death submiting to your inner fear and to a boy like Jack. Then I guess he will have better fate. Like I will be shaking hands with him...soon. He might end up giving in to the beast seeing as how they all contributed to killing me at the feast. This might haunt their memory and make them give in to savegry. I still remember the vivid memory of thier fists even though it was at night time, I remember my own warm blood trickling down my cheek which was the warmest thing at the time. As soon as I saw them running at me I knew they were steadfast with the decision to beat me down but the faster I got through my head the easier it was to accept death. Finally I could go bakc to somthing less materialistc and just hope for the best as to what happens to the boys on the island. Hopefully I won't seem them for a while........

Blog 12 Trial prep
opening Statement
Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, we believe that the constitution has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the defendant, Jack Merridew, is a sadistic bully without a sense humanity and/or regard for the laws and appropriate behavior that are part of civilized society. Jack chose to be a savage criminal on this island and take advantage of the fear ful little childen on the island. He disobeyed Ralph’s rules that provided structure and order for the rest of the boys on the isalnd. Ralph was the elected leader and Jack intentionally broke away from this group and formed his own tribe of savage hunters . He ruled this group through fear and physical violence. The boys of Jack’s tribe paid no attention to morals or good behavior. They simply did what they wanted to do and never stopped to say to themselves, “Is this a good way to behave?” or “is this right?”From the beginning Jack was a boy who was obsessed with hunting and killing pigs. Then he became a complete savage and the sport of hunting pigs became boring. He needed more excitement so he invented the sport of hunting and killing human beings.
Piggy evidence
1. Piggy's glasses were missing and were in Jack's possession during the time of the murder so even if he did not him self had lowered the rock he him self is an accomplice to murder which is still a crime.

3.Started the fire on the island which nearly killed Ralph which means he must have gotten rid of every one else to hunt down Ralph by him self
4.2 counts of attempted murder trying to kill him with the spear and and fire which destroyed the island.
5. Forced Sam and Eric to join his tribe through torture which measn he was a violent tyrant on the island

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the prosecution will prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that the defendant, Jack Merridew, is guilty of two counts of murder. We will show that Jack Merridew was responsible for the deaths of Simon and Piggy and for possibly other things when the boys were stranded on an island without adult supervision. We will show that Jack quickly became a sadistic savage who thinks that he is a special case and does not need laws. However he is wrong and every one here is equal. He constantly fought against and disobeyed Ralph who was the democratically elected leader of the boys. He valued killing above all other activities and constantly tried to convince the other boys to follow him and not listen to Ralph.Although the circumstances surrounding Simon’s death were accidental, the prosecution will show that Jack’s behavior caused the boys to act as killers. Jack ruled his boys through fear and he made them follow him because they believed that he could protect them. We will show that Jack knew that the beast was not real but he pretended it was so that all the boys would continue to be afraid. One of Jack’s strategies to make the boys feel braver was that he created the death chant, “kill the beast, cut his throat, spill his blood.” Also Jack created the dance where a boy pretended to be a pig while all the other boys stood around him and pretended to spear him to death. It was in the middle of this crazed dance that Simon stumbled out from the jungle and all the boys fell upon him and killed him.The prosecution will also present evidence that shows that Jack was responsible for Piggy’s death. Shortly after the boys crashed, Jack broke Piggy’s glasses making Piggy even more helpless than he already was. Then Jack raided Ralph’s camp and stole Piggy’s glasses. This final act was a death sentence for Piggy because without his specs he could not see the rock tumbling down the mountain towards him that killed him.The prosecution will also show that from the very beginning Jack’s sense of un-decency was what lead him and his later-to-be followers to kill Piggy and Simon. Jack hated Piggy because he did not value intelligence and thought that only brawn on the island mattered and not brains. He was obviously wrong about this and started a fire because he wanted to kill ANOTHER person on the island. Jack had the system of thinking that its every man for him self and survival of the fittest mind set. Apparently he thought that by establishing fear in people through raw power that he could rule the island as it where a game of power. In the chant he created with "Kil the pig" he was not meaning literally he also meant to kill Piggy the chant created the behavior that lead to Simon's death and later Piggy's

Blog 13-Blog 9 revision,Piggy reflects on the island
God what a horrible day today it seemed like the night was never going to end and that I was going to die becasue my asthma was acting up again. The haunting memories kept me up and shuddering the entire night. First looking back at the fact that we had commited murd_. Well it was an accident. I mean we could not see any thing and we did'nt do anything to him why should WE be blamed?! Why should WE be punished for somthing we DID'NT do. Oh sorry I got off subject. Anyway I also think it was really freaky how there is only me and
Ralph and a few littluns left in our group so now we have nearly no hope to keep up the fire with such little man power. Oh my god we are going to die!!!*Sigh* I feel like such dead weight and like I was useless when I could not help get some more firewood. Simply becuase of my asthma..."sucks to your ass-mar" he alays says. He might not be the kindest chief but he is a lot better than being with Jack except for the fact they have the man power that we do not have. Which unfourtently we are a little low on now. That ain't the worst of it, during the raid that savage and all his other tribe members took my glasses and with that said they where stifiling my/our hopes of escaping because now we could not keep the fire going. I was somthered in fear at the time and now reflecting on it, it makes me feel like a huge amount of dead weight. But I never thought that humans would be capable of such....IN-humanity even at such a young age I don't think any one could be able of such brutality and ability to infliect pain even when some one's body is not fully grown. Poor Simon...he must be looking down at us form heaven in a beautiful phospheresence looking down at us in shame seeing as how the majority of us has reverted to such savegry

Blog 11, Shame....
The sand on the beach when I got there was torn up like there had been a strugle here un like on a regular beach where the sand is not moved by any thing but the water miving it into the water and out in to the ocean. I saw rustling in bushed ahead of me and pulled out my pistol becuase by the looks of the sand there was some form of humanoid presence on the island. I could hear a strange ululation and saw some thick smoke of in the distance so obviuosly I was dealing with other human beings. A boy about the age of 13 jumped out the bushes I asked him if they had been having a war or somthing and he just planly answred kind of. I really wanted him to elaborte but I needed to get more vital inforamtion about what was happening concering other things on the isalnd. I asked him how many of you are there? Who's in charge rgiht now? Now there where many boys not a lot of them but about 10 of them at the scene. After I asked the only boy to step was the one that I saw to begin with. He looked shamed but was willing to cooparte none the less. The disapintment I felt then was enough to heave a mountain had it been force. Another 1 of the boys was looking like he was going to step up but his jaw droped and just cowered behind the rest of the boys. I could only vizulaize what had happened on the island at that point I really had not time to wonder about what happened we had to get bakc to the boat. I heard whistling sounds in the back ground and gun fire from the machine gun. At that point I realized the irony in all this. I had felt disapointed in thrse boys when every siolder should disapionted in themselves for every life they have tooken when they comited a small fraction of what I have done. The creulty the human race can inflect on its self is incredible.......

Blog 10 Piggy Died
Waking up this morning was hard phisicaly and and mentaly for the both of us. We got up and starting poking at Ralph wating to see what comands he would give us. We had to admit that this seemed really hopeless seeing as how he was asleep and it seems that its hopless when hes asleep and Sam started worring about if a ship had passed by during the night time. But oh well it would not matter. As the day passed Ralph decided to go Jack's and his crazy saveges' encampment and raid or at least try to reason with them to get back the fat guy's glasses what was his name? Oinkster, Oink-person, OOO Piggy ya piggy lets go with that one. It was not a risk that we were willing to take but Ralph was our leader so we had to. A couple of minutes later we were by the cliffs were we could hear the rush of water which was very scary for the both of us. When Jack showed up that was worse then looking down at the sea at the bottom of the cliff. Watching them fight aginst each other was even worse becuase we felt powerles at that point becuase we physicaly could not do anything even if we tried to make some kind of a difference. As the violence continued I heard something scarping. It sounded like 2 objects made out of the exact same materials were rubbing up aginst each other alomst like nails aginst a chalk board. Then the horrible sight came into our view. Even though our view was limited. We did.nt turn around to see the full details of things but we did get to see Piggy's body drop and hit the ocean. At that point we knew that our chances of staying with Ralph were over beuase he seemed to loose all confidence and so did we.

Blog 8 Simon's death
I had to see the mountain I had to see for my self if the beast was real or if was just a figment of my imigination. As soon as I had gotten there I realized the corruption that there was on this island seeing as how Jakc and his tribe worship such a thing somthing that does not even exist and that they fear it as well. Through out history there has never been any religion built of fear unless they disobyed the rules or laws of thier god(s). This is simply an embersment of humanity. I almost pity them......except for the fact that they worship somthing that they think would kill them but they think it will later in my story but lets keep up with what was going on then. As I uncioled the man from the vines I thought poor man only to hope thta winds would take him and he could move on to the next life. Im glad that the beast has not taken the mind of Ralph and his followers unfourtently its starting to. *laugh* ahh that Piggy probobly the most tremulous one of the bunch. I have a bad feeling about him though. Not that he will end up anyhting like Jack but that he himself is in danger of joining me......I not only fear for Piggy but also fear Ralph and his followers will join me simply by thinking back by what they did to me. Still remember the vivid memory of thier fists even though it was at night time, I remember my own warm blood trickling down my cheek which was the warmest thing at the time. As soon as I saw them running at me I knew they were steadfast with the decision to beat me down but the faster I got through my head the easier it was to accept death. Blog quest 3 Charecter profiles
Jack: One of the more savage charecters in the book. Jack is leader of the hunters on the isalnd in an attempt to some what come to a comprimise with Jack Ralph gives him this title. Jack is one of the older boys and has shown little compasion for the littluns through out the book. For example earlier during a meeting he SCREAMS at the littluns. Calling them cry babies and all that good stuff. In my opinion Jack does not seem to have any real freinds on the island. The one I would have to say is the one that is most emotinaly attatched to him is probobly Roger and even he does not seem to care for him very much.
Ralph: The chief of the kids on the isalnd. Or more like chief of a tribe after Jack breaks of and starts his own tribe. Has shown reseliance towards the "beast". However lately has been showing giving in to the beast as he continies to bite his nails fiercely. Is very liked liked by much of the littluns but hated by Jack. Seems like a some-what intelligent boy but with Piggy aking most of the decisions.
Simon: Unlike many of the other boys Simon has shown 100 percent reseliance to the call of the "beast". That is until lately when he was "talking" to the pig head. Before hand he showed that his decency was not fueled by civilazation. Which is where aperantly where all the other boys seemed to have gotten thier deceny *which Jack has seemed to give up on* from the socity that they lived on. Simon seems to have a more natural drive for decency. I think that the pigs blood over some of Simon's tranquil grove is an example of indirect chaercterazation. As his grove seems to have been tainted it seems that Simon will be to.
Piggy: Piggy is Ralph's advisor and basically the brains behind him. He represents intellegence and scientific endevour in thier socity. Which in the begging his intellegence seems to create other positive symbols later in the group. For example his glasses created the fire which fuels thier of hope of being rescued. Also he came up with the idea of using the conch to keep order in thier society.

Blog 7 Roger's secrecy
"Now that makes 3" I was sent to help out Jack hunt down more pigs. I honsetly did'nt think that there was any point to hunting now. One reason is the pigs are obviously dangerous seeing as how Jack had this giant cut across his arm from hunting one and since no one on the island that I know has any experience in first aid it could get infected or a big could get a one hit kill simply by going for our chest. To me it seemed like an extremly unneccesery risk at this point just to eat meat fruit seemed like enough. But it was just a "game" so I don't think that there would really be any problem. I don't really know why they piked me for this I try to be as covert as possible however I did'nt seem to work. We walked into the jungle for a little bit it did'nt really seem to be tiring unfourtently we did not spot any pigs any time soon after our desent into the jungle after a while there seemed to be an infinite amount of green brush at the time or that we were going in circles. The good thing is that we did not bring in none of the littluns that way there was no sniveling on the trip which was good it kept the cheery spirit up. That way Jacks decisions would be uncompromised eventualt they would be scared.
A few minutes later when we began to hike up the mountain which was whne I started to have my mind wander a little bit about the group. Mostly about Ralph seeing as how he was the chief of the group. I honestly thought that he was not fit to be chief much less any other kind of leader wether its of a country or some small club he is not a good leader. Just thinking about it is so infuriating. For all the decesions he has made for the group and for all the sagely decesions he has made it still seems useless for us to even have a leader we should simply vote on any proposed ideas. This is most likely Piggy's biggest blunder beside all the fat he has consumed!

Blog quest 2: Symbolism
Piggy's glasses: They represent the power of deep thought and intellectual endevour in socioty. They represent intellegince in soicity. For example when Jack used the power of intellegince for the fire and his own savage use. When he broke them that to me symbolized bad things to come. For example it would fail and end up costing piggy's life.
The conch: The conch represtents order and democracy in thier little society. In my opinion its most powerful moment was most likely in the beggining. When it was first blown everyone showd up. As the book progresed its symbolism became almost meaningless for example when they decided to start the fire. Or when piggy had it and Jack continuesly told him to shut up which to me said bad things. Like Jack symbolicly has the power to take away order simply becuase he says so.
The Signal fire: The signal fire represents as long as it burns they have hope of being rescued except in the begging. In the begging it seemed to have the very opposite meaning speaking in the place of savegry since Jack used it randomly without any thought. It's later meaning became somthing representing hope f0r the entire group.
The Beastie: It represents savegry and primal instincts in the group on the island. I think though that Jack is an interpretation for the beastie as he seems to have resorted to these instincts. The beastie could also be an incarnation for fear as the children seems to be scared when they speak of it. If the beastie was real he could also be foreshadowing death later. To anyone could die on the island.

Blog quest 1 Interview
"Today I am going to interview the leader of the hunters. Jack whats-his-face, I don't know his last name but give him a hand anyway *clap clap clap* *BOO*". " Now Jack about what has happened in the island so far, do you think you could be a better leader than Ralph and why?" Jack takes a seat right by me and takes a deep breath finally he starts to speak " Well I think I am more fit to be leader of our little group simply because he uses our supplies and uses them wastefully, when we should be using our engery not to build huts but to get food becuase that would keep us alive longer on a deserted island than a fire which is simply a instruemnt of destruction."
"That might be true that food is more neccesary for life but now why do you think if you would be the better leader why do you think that the people on the island have not re-elected you as leader"? Jack shot a very prideful look at me and then took another deep breath and started to speak again
"I simply think that it is a matter of time before I become leader of the group. I will become leader one way or another........" I gave him a confused look and fianlly decided to ask
"what does that mean? one way or another? sounds like you have surreneded to your primitive insticts buddy you should go to some counceling or somthing"
"Well SHUT UP!" then Jack jumps and tries to attack me, simply becuase he has gone nutz.
"SECURITY!! Since this guy can not cooparate I have gotten a hold of a person who still has a hold on sanaity. He is the leader of the people on the island say hi to this guy, Ralph whoms last name is unknown to me. Never mind it appears he is busy at the moment...oh well.....

-Made up story 'bout some dude
"Big head" Johny is walking home after getting mecrilessly beat on. Unfourtentutly it was just his first day at a new school were every one in there seemed to unanomisly hated by the entire population like a cat mixed in with a gnag made up of dogs. Tears runnig down his cheeks were not the only liquid runnig down in the area. As he starts walking closer to home. Thick clouds start to form up very quickly the sound of thunder claping in the distance. Johny could hear in the distance "hey did Johny's head just hit the ground" as the kids went on laughing.
"I do not have a big head stop maknig fun of me" As Johny said as his vioce started to crack. Rain started to pour down very steadily form the sky. As Johny really started to get close to home his class mates kept following him and making fun of the circumferance of his head. Soon thunder really started to sound. Jonhy's fists thigetned and yelled "SHUT UP ALREADY LEAVE ME ALONE".
" We don't have to listen to some big headed guy" said one of the boys.
"I don't have a big head!" Johny got a painful punch on one of the boys. He got him to his knees and Jonhy was continiously hyperventalitng in a very violent manner.

Blog 4 Whats up with Jack
Sweat trickling down my face running looking for some miricale to happen as Piggy and I went up the mountain. I could only think "Jack I really hope your dead or your gonna be". I saw the clearing up ahead only to see nothing but a smoldering pile of wood. Trying to find more wood to re-ignite the fire I actualy thought Jack was dead and tooken away. Looking at the boat I was really hoping that was a mirage becasue if they did'nt spot anybody here chances are they won't be comnig bakc for a while. Looking at the jungle I saw Jack coming bakc with a carcass of somthing big and him and the rest of the hunters all caring the same little smirk and seemed to have an opalescence sense of pride in their little smiles. I wish I could have felt the same way. I looked over at piggy he looked to be in the same state as he was the first time we started the fire. Only instead of losing hope in the conch he lost hope in the fire. The last thing that chance we had of being rescued passing by the ocean right then. He was whimpering by a tree and now seemed to be more enraged instead of bieng dreadfuly lost in misfourtune. After basicaly beating down Piggy I felt I had every one else's loyalty for the moment becuase people would not want an abusive leader but he is starting to give the group what they want except for Piggy. His apology seemed preposterous becuase the savage smirk he had after the pig. The fact that he said he wanted to contribute to the group in its survival and the hope of being rescued was very incredulous simply becasue he and hunters had abandoned their post at the fire. This to me was showing that Jack and his hunters were at the edge of insanity and were willing to trade decency and sanity for savegry and insanity. Also this could happen to every one else but truth is the heart of civilaztation so trusting these people was my only connection to civilzation. Asking him about why hunting a pig instead of keeping watch on the fire seemed to be an irelevance seeing how Jack was obssed with blood implicating that later he would turn on me or end up killing Piggy or someone, he is lost now just up to me to keep my distance form him and protect the litluns if I have to. The dead pig explains the shrill niose I heard before this almost made me belive in the beastie.
As Jack countinued to walk down to the beach his steps were malevolent and gyrating.

Blog 3 Jack...
Having the pig escape last time clouded my mnd and thought brining back food would make me leader. I tohught this was a glimmer of hope for me to become leader of these mindless rables. Finding nothing and going back to camp I saw many leaves all tied up in a neat little festoon. To most people this would be a nice little thing to look at but to me it just seems like a another thing that got in my way. Just like that Ralph to me. Just another flower for me to crush, another wall to break down all in due time. He's to worried about something that has slim to none chance of happening. He should be worried more about surrvival than working for some hopless fantasy. As I walked down to the beach tendrils started to pop up in front of me as if somhing was letting them go. I look up and just some monkeys playing around reminding me of the children. Wasting his time building huts was Ralph at the beach. It seemed very oppressive of him to waste time building these. There should have been an election about this rather than it just happening. Fruits alone isnt enough, these growing boys need protein. I don't understand why everyone just does'nt break his legs by now. That fat one too..oh that fat whats-his-face. Ralph seemed very inscrutable, so lost in his work he's not helping the group hes just stimulating his onw ideals. He was just foucising on on thing and that was building huts. Wasting all his efforts on that and nothin more to help the group. I asked to get us some new better, sharper barbs to help us hunt but he didn't. He seemed bewildered when I asked him for somthing so nessesacry which surprised me but he's a bad leader and had every one elses favor, what coud I do? He kept giving me an angered flaunt which made me feel like the heat or the isolation had gotten to his head. He seemed like a very furtive person and only seemed to open up occasionly to Piggy.

Blog 2 Isolated
"Hey lets go start a fire" Jack said. I honestly did'nt want to before thinking through and the possible consequnses. To me it seemed wrong to go up there all of a sudden without thinking it tohugh. The little kids seemed all excited from the idea but really at thier young age I would not expect them to understand the way that I was thinking. Everyone started to run forward and up the mountain which seemed very unsafe.
"Hey watch out at least, there might be some snakes or somthing". I might have been wrong but you can never be to careful. As everyone started to run up every thing started to warp into disary and right into Jack's clutches. The conch being the only last shred of hope for civilization. I wanted to tell everyone to stop and I did but nothing much would come out of me besides a small whisper. With the smaller children excited I thought that this was the start of the extinction for civilization. we could be here a while so I had to do somthing. Jack looked bakc at me and looked at me scornfully. Everyone got the top of the mountain and started to get wood for the fire. Once it was all colected everyone just stood there and stared at the giant pile of wood. This made me feel smart and a reason for Ralph to listen to me more. Then Jack takes my glasses officiously and seemed to like the violent effort he was putting forth to get them. Using them to reflect then sun thourgh them which casued sparks and started the fire. As the fire started the little children started to tumult causing a giant up roar. I looked at Ralph and he seemed like he was being challeged by Jack. I had an inrestible urge to say " I have the conch"
"Shut up fatty" Jack said. Then I broke out and started yelling. Then Jack told me to shut up and came up with a plan to keep the fire going as the we were stuck on the isalnd. I decided to try and follow this one nimble boy to carry out my plan of creating huts at the beach, it was not very easy getting people to listen even harder. I thought this would the end of civilization on the island.......

Stuck in a island
I woke up right by a tree only to see some canine creature licking my face. As I got up the creature ran. I clambered up a tree only to see nothing but more trees and thick lussh green brush surrounding me. I started to walk towards the beach as I could see an opening in the brush I saw a lagoon. I decided jump in there becuase on the island it was very very hot. I thought that. As soon as I got in I as I heard a loud growl in the distance thatr pallored me. I thought of running but was to frozen in fear. I decided to duck and hopfuly while being submerged what ever was maknig the sound would leave if it didnt spot me. As I can back up my vision was blurred fom the water only to hear a tall boy vainly laughing at me and I was embarssed. I got out of the water and quivered as I got out of the lagoon slowly. His clothes looked very decourus comapred to mine now. but i was glad atleast I was not alone on this ilsand place thing. I seemed like he was going to talk again but something sounded that interposed his speech. It was a very strident noise. not very pleasurable then I started to hear footsteps running to the sound. I decided to follow it seeing as how everyone else was going for it. I heard some chatter. Lets specualte about who should be chief. I got there and there were around 50 boys there. I felt indignation becuase no one would fill me in. They all seemed in a jumble as they were all discusing somthing about the chief buissness. They were all in little circles i felt like I was in a grateing because no would let me in. They seemed to devour the older boys as htey surronded them.
